About FOSSF and Mission
Friends of South Shore Fisheries is a grass roots coalition made up of commercial fishermen, scientists, business people, authors and citizens who are concerned about protecting fish stocks while preserving the fishing industries.
Our Mission:
The Friends of South Shore Fisheries is a 501 (c) (6), environmentally concerned organization whose mission is to address the current crisis facing the maritime fishing industry along the South Shore. Our ultimate goal is to foster a robust, thriving, and sustainable maritime fishing industry along the South Shore and to increase the recognition and appreciation of the integral role that the industry plays in our food supply, economy, history, culture, and way of life.
